Meet Chad Goubeaux

Chad Goubeaux

Manager

Chad Goubeaux is a Manager at Schellman and is based in Columbus, Ohio.  In his current role, Chad primarily oversees SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements along with HIPAA attestations.  Chad also leads the Schellman SOC methodology group which helps ensure Schellman’s practices remain at the forefront of industry standards.  Additionally, Chad is a participant in the AICPA SOC 2 working group which aims to enhance SOC 2 reporting and contribute to the broader accounting and IT compliance community.

Before joining Schellman, Chad worked at a Big 4 accounting firm where he specialized in financial statement audits.  This experience provided him with a solid foundation in auditing and an extensive understanding of financial reporting, which he has seamlessly integrated into his current focus on IT compliance.

In addition to his professional experience, Chad is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.  He holds several prestigious certifications, including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP), and the Cloud Security Alliance Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK).  He has also obtained the AICPA Advanced SOC certificate, reflecting his deep expertise and knowledge of SOC reporting standards
