Tampa, FL, April 19, 2022 - Schellman, a leading provider of attestation and compliance services, announced today that we remained ranked #12 among Vault’s 2022 Accounting 50. This is our third year among Vault’s best accounting firms to work for in North America, and our second year in a row as #12.
“We are so pleased to be recognized again by Vault in their Accounting 50,” says Karen Greene, Chief People Officer at Schellman. “One of our core tenets at Schellman is thanking our amazingly talented people—letting them know that the firm’s success is theirs. To sustain that level of appreciation, we are constantly seeking to improve every facet we can so that we retain our brilliant and motivated team members, as well as attract more of the same. This award confirms our progress so far in cultivating a valued environment for our people.”
This year’s Vault Accounting 50 rankings featured over 9,200 accounting professionals from 22 firms who scored their own in a variety of workplace categories such as culture, compensation, hours, and work/life balance while simultaneously rating over 126 firms in terms of prestige. Those results are then weighed using a formula to compile the Accounting 50.
Schellman’s #12 ranking is overall, but we’re especially proud to once again come in as #1 on top of individual categories, including Benefits, Client Interaction, Compensation, Culture, Internal Mobility, Promotion Policies, and Relationships With Supervisors. We also took the top spot for Overall Satisfaction and all of the Diversity subcategories, which we consider endorsements of our consistent efforts to harvest feedback from our team members.
As Karen says, “we prioritize delivering a workplace where everyone feels comfortable and empowered. We understand that such an environment will allow us to encourage each other in performing at the highest standard. Following through on the feedback and ideas that come directly from our team members who do the work every day elevates the Schellman experience—not just for our people, but also our clients.”
Schellman’s employee-centric culture is prevalent, and it starts at the top, with our Chief Executive Officer, Avani Desai.
“Our industry is a complicated one, and to see continued success and growth, I know that we must remain focused primarily on our team members. They’re the best and brightest in the field, and for all the work they do serving our clients, we want to give them the company culture, benefits, and compensation they deserve. That means diversifying perspectives as much as possible everywhere we can—our people are individuals, and we want to accommodate all their personal needs. This Vault ranking is an honor, but the ultimate goal remains to build a culture where everyone feels safe, taken care of, and like they have a career—not just a job.”
