The EU Cloud Code of Conduct is an officially approved and legally operational Code of Conduct pursuant to Article 40 of the GDPR. It enables Cloud Service Providers to demonstrate their compliance with the GDPR, specifically in their role as processors. The Code defines clear and actionable requirements for Cloud Service Providers to implement Article 28 of the GDPR. It encompasses all cloud service layers (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and is the first framework for all types of cloud services to receive official approval from European Data Protection Authorities.
The Code introduces three Levels of Compliance and is monitored by SCOPE Europe, which acts as the accredited Monitoring Body by the competent data protection authority. The highest tier, Level 3 compliance, requires independent third-party certificates and audits based on internationally recognized standards. Schellman assists organizations in achieving Level 2 or Level 3 compliance with the EU Cloud Code of Conduct and coordinates with SCOPE Europe during the verification process.
This webinar will be presented by SCOPE Europe and Schellman and provide you:
