We have seen data protection laws all over the world implementing comprehensive privacy regulation for the first time or making changes to their existing laws.  These changes are in response to the increase in digital transformation, cross border transfer of personal information, as well as an increase to privacy awareness.  Canada has a few changes in the works.

This webinar will provide an overview of the following:

  • Application of PIPEDA
  • Bill C-11 and how this bill would change PIPEDA
  • Proposed changes to Quebec’s provincial privacy law
  • Adequacy of cross-border transfers
